Terminal CLI Installation
Install and manage Dot components directly from your command line. The CLI handles dependencies, file placement, and TypeScript configurations automatically.
1
Initialize Project Configuration
Run this in your project root. It creates a dot.json file that says where components go (components/dot, or src/components/dot in projects with a src/ folder).
npx dotui init2
Add Any Component
Use the add command with any component name from the catalog. The CLI writes the file and installs its dependencies (like framer-motion) with your package manager. Run npx dotui list to see every component.
npx dotui add blur-reveal-text# Or add multiple components in a single command:
npx dotui add blur-reveal-text sticker-roll-preloader3
Log In for Pro Components
Free components need no account. For Pro components, create a token under Account → API tokens, then log in and paste it. In CI, set DOT_TOKEN instead.
npx dotui loginAvailable Command Flags
